Next up, away to Pembroke Dock on a warm Thursday evening, with a number of changes from the previous evening, the Five Arches still travelled with hope of a good performance having beaten Pembroke Dock at home. On Rink 1 , Ben and his unchanged rink were up against Richard Hissey,  a close game after 10 ends (10 shots to 8 to the Five Arches) , the Five Arches quartet pulled away in the second half to run out winners by 23 shots to 14. A great performance by all four. Stand in Captain Ashley with Roger, Tony and the returning Steve started slowly, 13 shots to 4 down after 12 ends, they won 7 of the next 9 ends but couldn't  quite close the gap, losing by 17 shots to 11. Neil and his rink of Harold, Jimmy and Peter also couldn't quite get in the game against Richard Jones' quartet, trailing by 3 shots at tea, they finally succumbed by 23 shots to 13. Dai ably supported by Kev, David and Ken  looked completely out of the game after 17 ends trailing by 25 shots to 12 however a superb last 4 ends picking up 11 shots which could easily have been 14, gave a final score of 25 shots to 23 in favour of Brian Dowling's foursome. Again another good performance by the Five Arches . Next game is away to Haverfordwest on Tuesday 21st July.
