With two ends remaining, this game, sponsored by Tenby House, looked as if the visitors Neyland would capture all six points, but the Arches rink skipped by Alison Redman scored seven shots on these two ends to gain two league points. First off the green was stand-in skip Carol, whose rink went down 13 shots to 25, but this score did not reflect on how well Margaret, playing at lead, and the excellent Jan Lloyd, starting her first game for the Arches ladies, played. With Gerry playing at third to Carol, they kept matching the Neyland players' woods but unfortunately not beating them or "getting the luck" !

Alison's rink of Lynn, Liz and Helen had a competitive and noisy encounter with the Neyland rink skipped by Val Hubbard. The Arches ladies were trailing from the third to the 20th end when they picked up four shots to sneak a one shot lead going into the final end. With Carol's rink finished and off the green, encouragement was offered but the Arches ladies had victory in their sights and were not going to let it slip, gaining another three shots to win this battle by 20 shots to 16. The overall result was a loss for the Arches ladies by 33 shots to 41, but two league points were gained.
