Tenby v Pembroke Dock

 TENBY 113 (14 pts)  PEMBROKE DOCK 58

After qualifying for the knockout stages of the Carruthers Shield with section victories over Milford, Fishguard and Neyland, the Tenby team returned to league action on Saturday. Visitors to a sunny Sutton Street green were unbeaten league leaders Pembroke Dock, who must have been hopeful of claiming another early season scalp, particularly as the Seasiders were again missing a few players. As expected, the match was close early on and there was little in it on two rinks at the tea-break, but after that Tenby seemed to change up a gear and gradually began to move away from their opponents. By the end, the overall difference had increased to more than 50 shots, with the home team winning on all four rinks to claim the maximum 14 points on offer.

The four Tenby rinks were as follows:

Steve Sheldon, Joe Richards, Luke Guymer, Craig Guymer.

Neil Dickinson, James Criddle, Ben Simmons, John Roberts.

Cameron White, Ben Cloake, Mike Jackson, Peter Day,

Luke Rees, Ben Sheldon, Jonathan Webb, Andrew Muskett
