The Ladies team (sponsored by The Fourcroft Hotel) travelled away for their second game of the season. Rink 3 saw the ladies down 5-17 at teatime, but it was an uphill struggle and finished 12-28 down. Rink 4 the ladies were only 3 shots adrift at teatime. On the 19th end they were 11-27 down. They then managed to score on the last two ends a 3 and 7 to finish 6 shots behind.

Saturday afternoon the Tenby Ladies team, who once again are kindly being sponsored for the second year by The Fourcroft Hotel, travelled away to Haverfordwest to play their first game of the season. Rink one saw Julia's rink in control of the game throughout the match. Rink two was another matter. The rink at teatime was 14-7 up, but come the dreaded break for tea they only managed 6 shots.

Last Saturday in glorious sunshine, Captain Mike welcomed Captain Ewain and the Ammanford Bowling Club for our annual friendly fixture . It proved to be a very close fought match with Tenby going on to win overall by just 1 shot, mainly thanks to a fine win of 23 shots by the rink of John Roberts, Mike Jackson, Ben Cloake & Neil Dickinson. The Tenby team comprised 3 rinks from Tenby and 3 rinks from Five Arches.
On rink 1, a very close game with Tenby 5 shots up after 10 ends but in the second half Ammanford pulled the shots back forcing a draw. Rink 2 saw Tenby were well in control, 7 shots up at the half way stage and in the second half there was no stopping them as they picked up 11 shots in 3 ends and went on to win by 23 shots.
Rink 3 was a very close game with Tenby 2 shots down aftert 10 ends but they made a come back in the second half by picking up 6 shots in 2 ends and went on to win by 1 shot. Rink 4 was a close game to start, with Tenby 5 shots up after 10 ends, but in the second half Ammanford had it all their own way by picking up 15 shots and they went on to win by 9 shots.
Rink 5 was a close encounter all the way through with Tenby being 2 shots down at the interval. The rest of the game continued in the same way with Ammanford holding on to their 2 shot lead. On rink 6, at the interval Ammanford were well in control, unfortunately things continued much the same in the second half.

Congratulations to John Roberts, Andrew Muskett and Peter Day for being selected for First Senior International Trial Team. The trial will take place on 20th May 2012 at Llandrindod Wells.

Welcome to a new season of Bowling for 2011 for the first home match of the season with the annual friendly game between Tenby and Kidwelly. Before the game , Captain Mike Gouldingay started the proceedings by welcoming everybody to a new season of bowls and to Kidwelly for bringing the lovely weather with them on a glorious sunny afternoon. The Kidwelly Captain Colin Jones who is a regular visitor to Tenby called for a minute silence for their ex- Chairman who passed away recently.
Rink 1 saw Luke Rees and Bill Benham up front with Joe Richards and John Baggott at the back end. At half way Tenby were level but in the second half of the game Kidwelly put the pressure on and went on to win by 10 shots. Rink 2 Saw Dai Rees and Tony Powling up front with Clive Webb and Ashley Hooper at the back end. At 10 ends Tenby were well in control of the game and in the second half remained in control and went on to win by 10 shots.
Rink 3 saw Brian Winstone and John Hubbard up front and Mike Gouldingay and Alex Watt at the back end. At the halfway stage Kidwelly were well in control with a 10 shot advantage and in the second half things did not get any better for Tenby going down by 18 shots. Rink 4 saw Cameron White and Ken Williams up front with Dai Spencer and Andrew Muskett at the back end, at the half way stage they were 6 shots down unfortunately things did not get any better as they went down by 13 shots.
Rink 5 Saw S Davies and J Rees up front with N Dickinson and R Taylor at the back end At 10 ends Tenby were 3 shots ahead but in the second half kidwelly won 8 ends out of 10 and went onto win by 6 shots. Rink 6 saw Jim Taylor and Harry Meades up front with Graham Hill and Dai King Thomas at the back end This rink was a very close fought battle with Tenby 1 shot in front at 10 ends and held their lead to win by 2 shots.
After the game everyone made their way to the bar for a well earned drink or two.
