Pembroke Dock Mariners  70 v Five Arches 79

Back to league action and a return to Pembroke Dock. The Mariners had beaten us in a close match earlier in the season, so hopefully revenge was on the cards. Ashley's rink of Dai, Tony and Gwyn returned to winning ways with a comfortable 25 -16 win. Lee with John, Ben and Ken played out their second successive 17-17 draw with the lead frequently changing hands in a close fought affair. Tony with Eamonn, Ben and Ray continued their fine form with a controlled 19-16 victory. However a disappointing defeat for Clive's rink of Ken, Mike and Roy who from a commanding 18-4 lead were pegged back by a determined Mariners rink who won the last eight ends to run out eventual winners by 21 to 18. Overall a very good 79 to 70 shot victory and a handy 11 points in our first away win of the season.
